Light Tower (Option LT)
Speaker Timer with Green, Yellow & Red Lights

When you order the optional Light Tower (Option LT), you must also order Option X. These two options are optimized for timing and controlling individuals who are engaged in Public
Speaking.
The Light Tower is composed of a foot, base unit, three LEDs - Green, Yellow/Amber & Red - and a cap. It is powered by an included 24V Power Supply. Typically, as a “speaker timer” in conjuction with the Light Tower, the ES-362UEX or LX-362UX is operated in a countdown mode. The timer counts down until it reaches 00:00 when it automatically stops. Option X provides three isolated relay outputs that are used for controlling the different colored lamps in the Light Tower.
The three programmable relays for Option X are identified as the “GREEN," "YELLOW" and “RED” outputs. A 25-pin connector provides access to the relay outputs. The relay contacts are rated at 10 watts maximum resistive load, 500 mA maximum switching current and 30 volts maximum.
The GREEN output contacts close when the “DOWN” switch is pressed on the Countdown Timer, and the green light signals the speaker to begin talking. When the timer reaches the time easily set in the “Yellow Time Memory,” by pressing "PRESET" while holding down the "STOP" button on the ES/LX-362UX, the GREEN output opens and the YELLOW output contacts close, illuminating the yellow light, so the speaker knows to wrap up their mesage. When the timer reaches 00:00, the YELLOW output opens, and the RED output closes, signaling the red light which tells the speaker that their time is up.

ESE's LX-362U is featured here with Option X, which is Three Relay Outputs where two are programmable & the 3rd is at 00:00, and Option LT, which is the Light Tower. The LX-362UX/LT was PRESET to 10 seconds with ESE's quickest & easiest preset - the thumbwheel. All the operator had to do was press DOWN, and the countdown begins with the GREEN LIGHT. The 2nd Relay is programmed to 5 seconds in this video, but you can easily program it to any amount of time you want to give your speaker or performer a warning to wrap things up. In the video, when the timer reaches 5 seconds, the YELLOW LIGHT illuminates before time runs out at 0:00 when the RED LIGHT is a universal indication to stop talking.
